A special screening of soon-to-be blockbuster Harry Potter
and the Sorcerer's Stone in Washington, D.C.,
on Sunday was greeted by a small band of protesters from an interest group
accusing Coca-Cola of using its sponsorship of the movie to peddle junk food to children.
In February, Atlanta-based Coca-Cola, the world's No. 1 soft-drink company, signed
a $150 million partnership with AOL-Time Warner Inc., making it the sole global
marketing partner for the Warner Bros. movie, which is based on the popular
Harry Potter children's books by J.K. Rowling.
